Imphal, April 13: The ongoing impasse in the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) is kicking up more ruckus with its president being summoned by the students body headed by its speaker to the TKS office in Ukhrul for necessary explanations.

Publicity Cell of the Co-Ordination Committee, TKS said that Worthington Mahung is no more the president of the TKS.

It further said that Worthington Mahung and his colleagues had been dissolved for corrupt practices and for violation of its constitution sometime back.

In that connection the clarification has been issued from the office of the TKS assembly secretariat "in compliance and execution of the TKS Constitution Article-7(a) endorsed by the 82nd General Assembly resolution no1 and 2 which had sacked Worthington Mahung from the presidentship along with his executive colleagues for violation of the TKS Constitution under Article-V(a) and Article 17 for corruption and misleading the house/Assembly".

It maintained that since the TKS president is no more holding the post at present, the assembly affairs of the students' body headed by its speaker is the sole care-taker in regard to TKS affairs in the absence of the president.

It also expressed unhappiness over the wrong allegations made before the public without a single iota of truth by Worthington and his colleagues.

In the meant time, it urged the general public and the units of the TKS not to be misled by false propaganda, saying leadership may go but the constituent members, units and zones of the TKS apart from the general public stand witnesses.

Meanwhile, the Publicity Cell of the Co-ordination Committee statement summoned Worthington Mahung, Reithingam and Robinson Jajo to be present at TKS office on April 16 at 11:30 am for an explanation to prove the allegation that Ngaranchui Ronra Shimray, the present TKS speaker as mentally abnormal and unsound.

It then warned that failing to present at the appointed day will invite necessary action.
