Imphal, April 11: Observing that the health care facilities provided in the Saikul PHC has become inadequate due to increasing population and vulnerability to various diseases, the Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai has appealed to MLA of Saikul A/C Doukhomang Khongsai to take up necessary actions to redress the plight of the people.

A memorandum submitted to the MLA also highlighted the pathetic condition of the Imphal-Saikul road.

The Inpi also sought intervention of the MLA for prompt completion of the construction of the Saikul-Keithelmanbi road.

In another memorandum submitted to Karong A/C MLA DD Thaise, the Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai appealed for immediate construction of the Moulkon-Phaibung road.

Observing that the absence of motorable/pucca bridge at Moulkon Bazar over Ithoi river has been causing severe hardships to the local people specially during rainy season, the Inpi urged for construction of the bridge at the earliest.

The absence of all season motorable road from Moulkon to Ngatan village is also another major grievance of the people, it said while seeking immediate intervention of the MLA to remove the grievance of the people.

In yet another memorandum to Khundrakpam A/C MLA Nabakumar, the Inpi sought his intervention towards improvement and extension of the Imphal-Saikul road which in its existing condition has been causing severe hardships and inconveniences to the local people and other commuters along the road.

It also appealed to the MLA to reconstruct a concrete bridge at Leitanpokpi which is providing the vital link between Imphal and Saikul.

The Inpi further sought intervention of the MLA for early completion of the Dolaithabi bridge.

It also appealed for extension of Imphal Dolathabi bus service via Pukhao up to New Bouljang via Utonglok, Bilei and Satang village.
