Imphal, January 09: Five accomplices of Konjengbam Suresh of Kongba Kshetri Leikai, who was earlier punished with a bullet on his leg on January 2 by CSF/UNLF for abusing drugs and terrorising people with the use of a licensed gun, have surrendered to the outfit today.

The five accomplices who surrendered are identified as Kakchingtabam Romio (34) s/o Kullabidhu, Aribam Radhakanta (22) s/o Brajabidhu, Thiyam Hemanta alias Theba (23) s/o Samungou, Thokchom Kumarjit (22) s/o Shyamsunder and Kakchingtabam Shyamkumar, brother of Romio.

All of them are residents of Kongba Kshetri Leikai.

Parading them before mediapersons somewhere in Imphal East area, a spokesperson of the CSF/UNLF informed that they would be handed over to their respective family members after giving proper advice against repeating such act in future.

The spokesperson further appealed to the parents to monitor the activities of their children and sought the co-operation of the people to CSF in its ongoing campaign.

Prior to surrendering of the five accomplices today, three other accomplices of Suresh who was pulled up along with one licensed shot gun and one 9 mm pistol have already surrendered to the outfit as directed.

They are Moirangthem Boinao, Athokpam Lopen and Mathurabashimayum Bikramjit.
