Reiterating the earlier decision of the PREPAK Central Committee not to collect monetary aid from individuals, the outfit disclosed that it had lost a letter head book during a search operation conducted by security forces some 2/3 days back at a place in Bishnupur district.
A statement issued by R Meitei of the Department of Publicity and Propaganda, PREPAK also expressed apprehension that the letter head book might have fallen into the hands of security personnel which may be used in extorting money from people by some persons in connivance with Government officials.
In case any monetary demand is made from candidates of the Assembly elections in the name of the outfit using its lost letter head book, the demand is not related to the outfit under any circumstance, it clarified.
Cautioning all the candidates and other individuals from possible monetary demands in the name of the outfit, under its lost letter head, PREPAK appealed to all concerned to inform the outfit if there is any such case of monetary demand.
PREPAK would not undertake any fund collection drive in connection with the Assembly elections, declared the statement.
