Kuki Liberation Organisation/Kuki Liberation Army (KLO/KLA) hauled up an alleged supporter of a candidate of the Congress party and made him to apologise to the outfit, while a stern warning has been served on him not to campaign for the Congress party in the upcoming election.
KLO/KLA has also claimed the responsibility for hurling bombs at the residences of CPI candidate of Lamlai AC Ph Parijat Singh and MPCC president Gaikhangam.
Saikhothang Vaiphei, president of Vaiphei People�s Council (VPC), Eastern Block was pulled up by the outfit in connection with a statement published in the press on January 23 extending support to Congress candidate of Saikul AC C Doungel.
The outfit alleged that Saikhothang issued the statement without the approval of the cabinet of VPC even as ban/boycott of the KLO/KLA on the Congress-led SPF Government for the latter�s failure to recognise the agreement on suspension of operation signed by the outfit in the Kuki national with the Indian army since August 2005 is still in force.
A resident of Tamuthemdoi, near Kamuching, Saikhothang was paraded in front of mediapersons somewhere in Sadar Hills area.
Seikhothang admitted to his �mistakes� and agreed to accept any kind of punishment given to him by the outfit if defy its warning.
Meanwhile, information and publicity secretary of the outfit Malsom Vaiphei has claimed that the bomb attack at the residences of CPI candidate of Lamlai AC Ph Parijat and MPCC president Gaikhangam.
KLO/KLA would continue to launch such attacks and imposed restriction on the activities of the two persons until and unless understandings have been arrived in connection with the earlier agreements reached with them separately, Malsom added.
