Imphal, February 01 2010:
A combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and troops of 26 Assam Rifles arrested one KCP(MC) cadre from Khuman Lampak bus terminus today.
The cadre has been identified as s/s Corporal Khuraijam Ingocha alias Kakabi (32) s/o late Tomba of Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai.
On verification, Ingocha disclosed that he was involved in the killing of six AR personnel in an ambush in September 2008 in Nagaland.
He was also involved in the abduction of Tata Magic Drivers Union member in 2009, killing of a man from Chingmeirong Maning Leikai and burning of paddy field at Mapao Thangal and abduction of Airtel staff, said a press release of Imphal West SSP.
On follow-up action a woman cadre identified as Kikiam Singon alias Lhilkimg (35) w/o L Santa Singh of Charhajare was nabbed.
She disclosed that her husband is also an active member of the outfit, added the press release.
In another incident, a combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and troops of 26 Assam Rifles arrested three PREPAK cadres from Phayeng Khunou Pathar Bazar yesterday.
The three cadres have been identified as Khuraijam Bobby alias BK alias Ito s/o late Angoucha, Nongmaithem Angouba alias Karnajit (23) s/o Mohindro and Ahongsangbam Gulapi Khuman (28) s/o late Kubir of Tera Sapam Leirak.
On questioning, Kh Bobby disclosed that he is a trained PREPAK cadre and collected an amount of Rs 15,000 from oil stations and restaurants and handed over to Samson of Haobam Marak Irom Leikai.
Two mobile handsets were recovered from Gulapi Khuman, said a press release of Imphal West Senior SP.
Thoubal district police commandos arrested one PREPAK cadre from Pallel Bazar namely, Thangjam Tapendro Singh (31) s/o late Lolendro of Khurai Thangjam Leikai.
Two live rounds of AK ammunition were recovered from his possession, said a press release of Thoubal SP.

The cadre has been identified as Laishram Rakesh alias Bimol (33) s/o late Bashko alias Khamba of Ningthemcha Karong.
