Air Hostess Academy (AHA), Guwahati, a pioneers among the service industry training institutes, has been training students for the whole service industries, accessing dimesions in varied avenues like airlines, hopitality sectors, MNCs and BPOs.
Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club here today, branch manager of the Academy Anajan Choudhury said that the demand for trained cabin crew is rising not only for the domestics airlines, but also for international carriers.
The hospitality industry with some 1,800 hotels and 95,000 hotel rooms in star category awaiting classification, is also starving heavily for at least 40,000 to 45,000 trained and qualified personnel, he added.
On the status of the Academy, Anjan informed that it has been certified as ISO9001-2000 by the DNV.
The Academy is presently offering one-year as well as two-year diploma course on aviation and hospital management and students who have passed 10+2 examinations may undergo training at the Academy, Anjan said, while informing that there would also be placement facilities for the students.
