While the people of the State are yet to come to terms with the shock over the murder of the Senapati kids after being kidnapped and the killing of a child just to rob his petty ear rings at Imphal, two drugs abusers who also reportedly used to lift bikes have been rounded up by people and handed over to Anti-Narcotic and Drugs Organisation (ANDO).
The two youths who allegedly used drugs by selling stolen vehicles are identified as Wahengbam Anand (26) of Wahengbam Leikai and Vareiyo (21) of Hamleikhong, Ukhrul.
In addition to abusing SP capsules and heroin, both of them are used to associating themselves with Commercial Sex Workers quite often, disclosed ANDO general secretary Naorem Deven.
A Honda Splendour , a bicycle, condoms and duplicate keys were recovered from the possession of the duo.
The motorcycle was lifted from Ukhrul by Anand yesterday night after which he came to Imphal together with Bario.
They were app-rehended by the volunteers of the United Pioneer Club, Pishum Oinam Leikai today morning.
Later Anand and Bario were handed over to ANDO.
On the disclosure of Anand.
ANDO has learnt of the names and addresses of some other drug abusers, conveyed Deven.
Earlier there were cases of Anand lifting vehicles and selling at Moreh and Myanmar.
He also sold away vehicle parts after dismantling them from the Tata truck of his family.
Not only that, there was instance of Anand snatching ear rings from his nephew (elder brother's son).
The Honda Splendour recovered from the Anand and Bario does not have registration number.
Nevertheless, the owner can claim the bike by producing relevant documents, said Deven.
