Police claims slain youths were KRA men

Imphal, Jul 28: Despite the claim of the KRA that the two youths slain at Langol Laimanai by police commandos on July 28 were not connected with the outfit, the police today claimed that they were active members of the KRA, working in the finance section.

In a statement, the SP of Imphal West said that one KRA cadre was arrested by police commandos during frisking near the AOC oil pump today at about 6.30 am.

On interrogation the arrested KRA man confirmed that the two youths killed at Langol on July 26 were hard core KRA cadres.

The cadre arrested today is identified as Md Nazir Hussein alias Thoiba (26) of Tripura Halali and presently staying at Hatta Golapati, said the statement.

He acts as the finance collector of the KRA.

Md Nazir identified the two youths killed at Langol Laimanai as Paominlen Touthang (23) of Aigejang village, Sadar Hills and Lalboy Haokip of Laisang village, Churachandpur.
