Ibobi in Delhi, to miss Assembly session today

Imphal, May 25: Chief Minister O Ibobi will miss the opening day of the 13th Assembly session tomorrow as he left for Delhi today to attend the meeting on National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

The meeting to be held tomorrow will be presided by AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam is also in Delhi to attend the said meeting.

Though the Chief Minister will miss the session tomorrow, he will be in time to attend the session on May 29, when the Manipur Legislature (Removal of Disqualification) Fourth Amendment Bill, 2006 will be placed in the House for its passage.

The Bill will be discussed in the Assembly tomorrow.

The Cabinet had yesterday decided to pass the Bill to exempt the posts of chairman of corporation from the office of profit list.
