An individual who surrendered to the KYKL for his alleged involvement in getting work orders from the Electricity Department by misusing the name of the proscribed outfit has been handed over to his family members after giving proper advice.
According to a spokesperson of the outfit, Thoudam Bobo alias Nimai (33), who originally hailed from Andro but presently residing at Singjamei Chingamakha surrendered to the mobile team under the command of the assistant central administrative officer Santa Achouba of the outfit.
At the time of surrendering, Bobo also handed over a sum of Rs 2 lakhs which he had collected from the contractors on the assurance of giving them the work orders, the spokesperson said, while informing that Bobo has been later handed over to his family members after giving proper advice and stern warning against indulging in such activities in future.
Bobo is one of the accomplices of Waikhom Inao who had earlier surrendered and was paraded in front of mediapersons on March 19.Bobo had been asked to surrender to the outfit within five days along with the money he had collected from the contractors.
