President APJ Abdul Kalam will grace the 10th Convocation of Manipur University scheduled to be held sometime in the last week of May.
MU authorities have also started making the necessary preparation in this regard.
According to a reliable source, President APJ Abdul Kalam would be attending the first convention to be held after the University has been upgraded to a Central University.
The convocation would be held sometime in last week of May.
However, the exact date is yet to be finalised in confirmation with office of the President, the source informed.
Along with the preparation which have been started by the MU authorities, invitations have also been send out to all those who would be participating in the convocation, the source added.
In fact, preparation for holding the 10th convocation of the University was taken up last year.
But it has been delayed as the date of the visit of the President could not be finalised due to his other prior commitments.
On the other hand, the executive council of the upgraded Manipur University has been set up with the consent of the President.
