Imphal, October 21:
Unfazed by the Court verdict, Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) president M Hemanta has stated that his party would approach the higher law Court to challenge the ruling of the Civil Judge (Junior) Division passed in favour of BJP over the controversial office plot located near Thoubal Parking, Keishampat.
Talking to reporters at the Palace Compound temporary office of the party this afternoon, Hemanta said MSCP is not affected or bothered by the Court ruling at all as there is proof and evidence to verify in whose name the land had been allotted.
We will approach the higher law Court to challenge the ruling of the Civil Judge (Junior) Division so that the issue may be settled once and for all, he said.
He also reiterated that the MSCP had never merged with the BJP and it is still a regional party.
Charging the BJP with grabbing land belonging to the others, Hemanta said it is because of covetous nature of BJP that a large number of people had suffered in the Ram Janma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute.
Moreover, it is BJP which was responsible for loss of many innocent lives in Manipur over the issue of territorial issue, he charged.
