Imphal, January 08:
The KYKL has categorically stated that the ban imposed on BJP Manipur State Unit since January 29, 2004 for allegedly working against the interest of the people and the outfit by inducting Thounaojam Chaoba alias Utlou Chaoba, who has been declared an enemy, as the president of the political party, still remains.
Accordingly, no one should contest in the Municipal and Nagar Panchayat election scheduled to be held on January 17, 2006 as BJP candidates and all the election related activities of the party have been banned, deputy secretary of the outfit Apabi Mangang announced in a statement today.
Apabi said KYKL wondered whether all those people who are carrying on the activities of the BJP Manipur State unit despite knowing the ban imposed are ready to die for Chaoba like ex-DGP L Jugeshwor.
Time would only tell who are ready to sacrifice their life for Chaoba, Apabi added.
The ban imposed on BJP Manipur State unit would remain as long as Chaoba is not removed from the party and KYKL has been restraining from laying its hands on the party workers thinking that they might come to their senses.
