Imphal, September 29: A KCP (MC) cadre identified as Adhikarimayum Dinabandhu alias Robindro (20) s/o A Borthakur of Samaram Mayai Leikai was arrested by Thoubal district commandos along with a motor cycle (Bajaj Pulsar) from Khongjom Bazar at about 1 pm yesterday, informed SP Thoubal Clay Khongsai in a release.

On the other hand, a woman cadre of the KCP (MC) identified as Magalthapa Anju (24) d/o Magalthapa Jehna of Uyumpok Purum Khullen was apprehended by Imphal East commandos from Lamlong Bazar at about 1.30 pm of September 27 .

Further, SP Imphal East Th Radheshyam informed that two PLA cadres were also nabbed from Lamlong area on September 27 at about 3 pm.

The two PLA cadres have been identified as Lairellakpam Eleicha alias Kumar (32) s/o L Gouramani of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai and Thongam Surju alias Momo (36) s/o late Th Basanta of Thangmeiband Lilasing Khongnangkhong.

Imphal East commandos also apprehended one KRA(U) cadre, Kshetrimayum Tarang alias Chandrakumar alias RK Singh (26) s/o Ksh Madhumangol of Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai from Iranpham at about 6 pm of the same day.

On September 28, one NSCN(K) cadre identified as Akham Tomcha alias Napoleon (26) s/o A Chaonusana of Lamdeng Khunou from Lamsang Bazar was also arrested at about 4.30 pm.

This was followed by the arrest of one KYKL sympathiser identified as Nongmaithem Kulachandra (32) s/o late N Ibotombi of Taothong Apheiba, Lamsang Bazar from his locality at about 6.10 pm yesterday, added the SP Imphal East press release.

Another press release issued by the SP informed that Imphal East commandos arrested one PULF cadre from Hatta Golapati at about 8.30 this morning.

The PULF cadre has been identified as Md Abothem alias Ithem alias Rono (28) s/o Md Siloj Ahamad of Sora Karanchi.

A demand letter of Rs 50 lakhs signed by the outfit's finance secretary Md Reihan Choudary was also recovered from his possession.

Meanwhile, a press release issued by PRO Hqs IG AR (S) informed that a PULF cadre identified as Noor Kammal alias Bangthem (20) s/o Md Whea of Tulihal Mayai Leikai was apprehended by troops of 34 AR from Tulihal area yesterday.

The PULF cadre has been handed over to Yairipok police station today, it added.
