With the establishment of the identity of the man shot dead by Imphal West commandos at Langol Game Village on October 26 as one Waikhom Noren (41) s/o Nopur of Litanpokpi under Lamlai PS, the family members have expressed strong suspicion of some foul play in the killing.
Even though Noren was shot dead on suspicion of being a UG cadre, he was proprietor of a private school.
He was a married man having three sons and a daughter.
He was the proprietor of Bright Career English School located at Litanpokpi.
It is reported that he had affairs with one Achong staying at Langol Game Village.
Achong is a teacher in 7th MR school.
Noren also had illicit relations with
another girl.
Before he was shot dead, there were instances when commando personnel came searching for him.
He was also acquainted with some commando personnel, informed the family members.
According to them, Achong has gone hiding since the day Noren was shot dead near her quarter at Langol Game Village.
But the family members are suspicious of some ulterior motive behind the killing of Noren.
The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS today.
On the other hand, the individual shot dead by troops of 4 Assam Rifles at Phaknung ITI road under Lamlai police station on October 23 has been identified as a grocer.
The deceased identified as Wahengbam Wanglen alias Abothey (27) s/o Angaton of Sagolband Tera Pukhri Mapan, Sayang Road.
According to family sources, Wanglen was running a grocery store at Paona Bazar, Governor Road after completing MA as he could not find any other job.
He went missing since October 23.He was not connected with any UG group, maintained the sources.
With the family members refusing the claim the body, it is still lying at RIMS morgue.
