Imphal, February 20, 2010:
On account of incompetence on the part of dealing clerks of JN Hospital to do ACP (Accenture Career Programme) process for employees, staff from Accountant General are being hired to do the same work.
According to some staff of JN Hospital, dealing clerks have been demanding Rs 100 to Rs 200 each from the employees of the hospital to pay to the AG staff hired to do the ACP process which, actually, should be done by the dealing clerk themselves.
Even as necessary order was issued to implement ACP for all employees of the country with effect from July 1, 2005, the same programme cannot be implemented for employees of JN Hospital till date due to incompetence on the part of dealing clerks.
They further demanded removal of the incompetent dealing clerks.
On being asked to pay prepare arrears counting from July 1, 2005 till date, the dealing clerks reportedly demanded money.
Although other Government departments were getting salaries in time, employees of JN Hospital have not been getting regular salaries for the last three/four years due to errors in preparing bills.
When enquired, the clerks conceded that there were errors in preparing bills.
They further lamented that higher authorities are unable to take up any action against the incompetent clerks.
