Contractors not to enter PWD complex

Imphal, Jul 16: Intensifying the cease work strike being launched by the All Manipur PWD Contractors' Association against non-payment of due CDAs (Bills), all the PWD registered contractors and sub-contractors have decided not to enter the PWD complex until their demands are fulfilled, conveyed a press release issued by the Association.

It further alleged that the contractors have been victimised since the SPF Government came to power.

The Association stated that the Central Government would be informed in detail of the discriminative treatment of contractors by the State Government like diversion of CDA (bills) to other purposes, secretive release of bills only to contractors having nexus with Ministers and other irregularities.

It also condemned the indifferent attitude of the Works Minister and Works Commissioner to the ongoing protest agitation.
