Churachandpur District Students� Union late yesterday presented its site proposal for the National Institute of Technology (NIT) to Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh.
The proposal presented by the executive members of the student body is in continuation of its earlier representation.
Two probable sites, one between Koite village and D Molvom, measuring about 8 square kms and the other, 311.5 acres of land (dak no 1003) on the west of Thingkangphai village have been proposed to the Chief Minister.
Besides enclosing detail sketch of the proposed sites alongside their proposal, the union leaders fervently appeal to the Chief Minister, to take into account the feasible NIT sites they pitch for during their engagement at his official chamber on Friday.
The union also calls on the Chief Minister to visit and inspect the reference sites at the earliest.
