Imphal, January 31:
A day ahead of the release of the partys manifesto formally, spokesperson of MSCP Debabrata presented a sneak preview of the same by reading them out during the flag hoisting ceremony of the partys candidate from Wangoi AC W Mani at the latters residence today.
Reading out portions of the partys manifesto during the function attended by a large number of people coming from different parts of the Assembly Constituency, Debabrata pledged that MSCP would play a major role and remain committed to its stand of lifting imposition of AFSPA from Manipur.
MSCP would also work for the improvement of road communication, tele-communication and railway facilities in the State as well as for providing a stable and effective education system in Manipur, he said.
On the demand for introduction of Inner Line Permit system, Debabrata explained that since revival of the Inner Line Permit system alone would not be able to check influx of illegal migrants to Manipur, his party would ensure maintenance of State Population Registry.
Party president RV Mingthing who also spoke during the function observed that though MSCP and MPP tread on different paths, both are based on the ideals of regionalism and thus they are two political parties with same the goal.
So after the election if none of the political parties manage to get absolute majority and the situation calls for formation of a coalition Government, MSCP would join hands with other regional political parties, Mingthing remarked.
