The proscribed RPF and its armed wing the PLA have offered revolutionary salutes to L/Cpl Ad Abdul Sattar alias Firoz alias Sunil alias Dinesh of Keikhu Makha Leikai who was shot dead by troops of 4 Assam Rifles in a shoot out on May 20.In a statement, RPF said that Abdul Sattar joined the PLA on March 7, 2001 and he was deeply committed to cause of fighting for the sovereignty of the land.
On his joining the PLA, he had said "I joined the PLA because I believed in the principles of the RPF to win back the lost sovereignty of the land," said the statement.
Abdul Sattar was arrested five times, but this did not deter him in carrying on the fight, said RPF and added that he did his schooling from Jalil English School, Thambalkhong Jr School, Raja Drumba Singh High School and college from Lilong Haoreibi College.
In college he was the secretary of the Boys Common Room, said the statement and added that right from his childhood, Abdul Sattar was involved in social work and fully dedicated to any work taken up his locality.
His principle in life was to dedicate his life to the cause of the people as long as the body permits, as long as there is life ebbing through him and as long as the heart beats.
The RPF also shared the pain and sorrow of the bereaved family members.
The outfit also offered revolutionary salutes to Moirangthem Jiban alias Cpl Tomba alias Romio of Tellou Mayai Leikai who was killed in a shoot out with police commandos on May 17 at Toubul.
Cpl Tomba joined the outfit on June 2, 2000 and dedicated his life to the cause of the land till his death, said RPF in a separate statement.
Jiban was a brave man who carried out his duties diligently and was compassionate to his juniors.
Jiban died while defending his other friends, said RPF and added that it shares the sorrow and grief of the bereaved family.
