A protest meeting cum rally staged at Hiyanglam-Kakching areas today threatened to enforce State-wide bandh in case KYKL, alleged to be behind the killing of one Kangabam Brajachand, do no clarify.
One Elangbam Kartik of Hiyanglam Warak Khong, alleged to be a KYKL activist, is accused of killing 45 year old Brajachand from Hiyanglam Lai Panganba on May 18.In the public meeting held at Hiyanglam Girls' HS from 11 am till 2 pm and presided by president of JAC against the Killing of K Brajachand, N Yaima Devi adopted several resolutions.
The meeting insisted that KYKL would be considered as an arrogant outfit posing threat to the common people if Kartik's conduct is not clarified, banning entry of the outfit's cadres in Hiyanglam areas, ostracising those families found providing shelter to KYKL activists and convening another meeting tomorrow to discuss future course of action, including calling a Manipur bandh.
The rally was taken out from the meeting venue till Kakching Bazar with Brajachand's sons leading the march holding banners demanding reasons for their father's cruel death.
The rallyists also raised slogans demanding stringent action against Kartik.
