Tribal bodies decry Sunil's killing

Imphal, Aug 14: Numerous tribal bodies of Moreh area have strongly condemned the killing of president of AMSU Moreh Branch Sunil Agarwal after being abducted by armed gunmen on the night of August 11.In a joint statement, Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Moreh Block; Kuki Women's Union and Human Rights, Moreh and Hill Tribals' Council, Moreh demanded clarification behind such inhuman act without any delay.

The joint statement signed by KSO Moreh Block president Michael Thongmang, KWUHR Moreh president Chinneivah Haokip and HTC Moreh president T Haokip said the tribal bodies of Moreh would always support any form of agitation taken up in connection with the killing and appealed to all right thinking citizens not to give it a communal hue.

The joint statement further appealed to all the leaders of civil societies and Government authorities to solve the matter before it get out of control as well as to all groups/individuals concerned not to resort to such killing in future.
