Imphal, November 10 2008: The Imphal counter of the courier service provider Blue Dart Express was locked up by some unidentified persons at about 3 pm of November 6.The unidentified persons also took away the key.

The Imphal counter opened on the ground floor of Hotel Nirmala, MG Avenue, Imphal was working under Blue Dart Express, Kolkata.

Since the day its counter was locked, the courier service provider's godown located at Paona Keithel has also been closed by the firm themselves.

Even though the exact cause and identity of those responsible for the closure of the counter cannot be ascertained, it is believed that the action might be related to monetary demands of some UG groups.

On the other hand, unidentified persons lobbed a hand grenade at the residence of one Okram Indrajit at Singjamei Okram Leikai at about 6 am today.

It is reported that Indrajit is a business man.

The grenade which failed to go off was safely retrieved by police.
