Imphal, October 03: THE KUKI National Organisation (KNO) has strongly condemned "the rampant attacks carried out upon their cadres by the KNF (P) even after signing of the SoO agreement.

In a press release issued today by Lenin H Kuki, Secretary, Information and Publicity of the organisation stated that, on September 5 last, the KNF (P) cadres swooped down upon the outpost of KNA at Wakan area (Saikul) in which a civilian house was raged to the ground, besides creating insecurity and fear psychosis.

It said, again on September 21, heavily armed cadres of the same outfit attacked another outpost of KNA at Samusong area (Yaingangpokpi) killing Corporal Janglet Guite on the spot.

Not satisfied with the killings of their own brothers, the KNF (P) cadres again attacked the same outpost at Samusong Area on Octoter 2, killing Private Thangjangam Mate of Tuisomjang and seriously injured Private Seimang Vaiphei alias Seipi of Sapormeina, Lenin H Kuki revealed.

However, the KNO has till now restrained itself from retaliating against their own Kuki brethren and has adopted defensive methods so as to prevent any casualty.

Because the KNO is well aware of the futility of fratricidal killings of the past, the press release further stated.

Questioning the KNF (P) its motive behind the attacks and the benefits of fratricidal bloodbath, Lenin H Kuki reminded the KNF (P) that only with the hope of brining peace and security in Kuki land, the SoO was endorsed in New Delhi not for killing each other.

He also urges KNF (P) to reconsider and stop their hate-and-kill policies and actions for the sake of peace and brotherhood.

There can be no genuine success in our fight for national regeneration of the Kuki unless peace and unity is acheived, he stated.

He further stressed that it is indeed a shame that the party/front claiming to be Kuki nationalists are annihilating their own people.

Questioning the stand taken by the Indian Security Forces, the press release lamented that the Indian Security Forces were silently watching the rampant attacks carried out by KNF (P) which is totally against the "Peace Process' of SoO.

If the Indian Security force are happily enjoying the fratricidal killing initiated by the KNF (P), then the KNO would be compelled to seek alternative means of maintaining force and security among the kuki people" it said.
