Imphal, March 27: A joint meeting of the officials of State Home Deportment, Town Planning, Manipur Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and Transport Department presided over by Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh was held to chart out an action plan to control the level of pollution and traffic congestion in Imphal.

The meeting attended by Principal Secretary (Home) AE Ahmed, Commissioner (Transport) AR Khan, Deputy Director (Planning) BK Sharma, DGP AK Parashar, SP Imphal West Clay Khongsai, DSP (Traffic) Ibopishak, MPCS member secretary A Angami, Chief Town Planner Geetkumar, etc among others discussed in detail the ways and means of controlling the level of pollution as a fall out of the increase in the volume of traffic flow over the past few years.
