Many social organisations have announced their decision to take part in the rally being taken out tomorrow from Khuman Lampak Main Stadium to BOAT, Palace Compound to protest misconduct of the referee who conducted the quarter-final match of the Santosh Trophy played between Manipur and Goa, which led to forceful exit of Manipur from the tournament.
The protest rally would be kicked off from Khuman Lampak main stadium at 11 am and would culminate at BOAT where a public meeting would be held.
The protest rally is being jointly organised by AMSU, NIPCO, Nupi Samaj, MEEKHOL, UPF, Tammee-Chingmee, AMKIL, Ideal Club, DESAM, THANIL, HERICOUN, Imphal West Women�s Development Orgn, Macha Leima, IPSA, MAFYF and Mapi Council.
Meanwhile, Manipur University Students� Union (MUSU, while coming down strongly on the misconduct and biased attitude of the referee, has announced it decision to participate in the protest rally tomorrow as well as in any other agitation in this connection in future.
Khwairamband Bazar Nupi Keithel Shemgat Sagatpa Marup, Ereipak Enaat Chanura Loinsinlon (EECHAL), United Mongoloid, Canchipur; Citizens� Club, Soibam Leikai,All India Youth Federation (AIYF), Manipur State Council; Islamic Development Council (IDC), Manipur, Manipur Sanskrit College Students� Union, Imphal; Heingang Kendra Sporting Union, Khabam Lamkhai, Social Workers� Congress, Khongman, etc have also announced their unflinching support to the cause.
On the other hand, All Manipur Sports Association (AMSA) has decided to approach AIFF and find out a clear cut position of it on the matter.
