CHC stir to target Government offices

Imphal, May 25: Demanding adequate provisions of essential requirements for the Sagolmang Community Health Centre (CHC) within May 27 a body called Committee of Health Care has threatened to shut down Government offices located in Khundrakpam AC areas in case the demand is not honoured.

disclosing the matter to mediapersons today, convenor of the Committee RK Tamphasana accused the State authorities of undermining numerous reminders and intimations from the body to ensure availability of requisite infrastructure for the CHC.

Such indifferent attitude has constrained the Committee to opt for agitation programme including the office closure stir, the convenor stated.

Among others the Committee is demanding posting of specialists doctors, nurses and technicians in adequate strength as prescribed for a CHC, building expansion to accommodate growing patient population, modern and advanced equipments and related accessories etc.

Failure to evoke and act positively would compel the Committee to launch the agitation from 6 pm of May 27.
