Dimapur, October 24 2010: Amid push and pull over the proposed October 26 Dimapur 'mass peace rally' called by Naga Hoho in association with Naga Mothers' Association (NMA) and Naga Students' Federation (NSF), the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) has urged all Nagas to firmly stand and work together in cultivating, promoting and building spirit of inclusiveness through mutual acceptance and forgiveness.

The FNR's appeal comes after the NSCN-K (GPRN/NSCN) and FGN/NNC termed the Naga Hoho sponsored rally as 'prejudiced'.

The Naga Hoho, NMA and NSF said the proposed October 26 rally in Dimapur is to pressurise New Delhi to expedite the ongoing 'Indo-Naga peace process'.

"We are yet to achieve our goal even after having 70 round of talks in 13 years which is long enough", rued the Naga Hoho.

On the other hand, the NSCN-K and the FGN/NNC said that the Naga Hoho, NSF and NMA would be making a mockery of the 'September Summit'.

On September 18, NSCN-IM general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah along with NSCN-K general secretary N Kitovi Zhimomi and their FGN/NNC counterparts had signed a historic covenant for restoration of peace.

On Saturday, the NSCN-K and FGN/NNC said that the proposed October 26 rally if goes ahead will amount to a sinister, vindictive and a colossal danger to the fragile Naga reconciliation process.

Meanwhile, as this farce scene develops, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) today said it finds it pertinent to once again clearly assert its position that we stand for inclusiveness and acceptance of all Nagas based on the historical and political rights of the Nagas.

"Since the beginning of Naga Reconciliation: A Journey of Common Hope, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation has consistently called for inclusion of all Nagas.

And in response to the deep yearning of the Naga people, the top leaders of three Naga political groups signed the Covenant of Reconciliation in June 2009, in which the signatories have reconciled on the basis of the historical and political rights of the Naga people," the FNR said on Sunday.

"In the spirit of Naga reconciliation and for the sake of the Naga future, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation calls upon Naga political groups to embrace the maxim of inclusiveness and acceptance of all Nagas," it added.

On the proposed October 26 public rally, the Forum for Naga Reconciliation in the spirit of mutual solidarity implores all 'Naga political groups' (Naga underground organisations) and especially Naga apex and tribal organizations, Naga civil society groups, Naga Churches, Naga students and fellow citizens to uphold and reaffirm the commitment we have all made vis-�-vis Naga inclusiveness.
