Even though a tentative deal has been reportedly reached between representatives of the striking JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO and the State Government today pertaining to release of employees' DA no final agreement could be signed.
According to informed source, the agreement included Government's assurance to release 5 percent of the demanded DA (15 PC) amount next month and the remaining effective from january next.
As consensus eluded other demands proposed by the JAC both agreed to hold another session tomorrow afternoon.
Prior to today's meeting, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh is said to have presided a special session attended by his Ministerial colleagues, besides the chief Secretary Jarnail Singh and Commissioner concerned to deliberate on the JAC demands.
on the other hand, the Government side was represented by Law Minister Th Debendra, Education minister L Nandakumar and the Chief Secretary in today's meeting with JAC leaders that lasted for nearly five hours.
