All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has instituted the Media fellowship which would also become an annual feature in its efforts to facilitate working journalists of Manipur to reach out to rural areas of the State.

However, there was no entry from electronic media, so only three applications from among the print media were considered for this year.
