Maintaining that restaurant culture in Manipur has become a cause of concern as it is corrupting not only the moral of young boys and girls but has also led to crises in the family and crimes in the society, Ningol Khongchat Lup, Kangleipak and Kangleipak Loinashillon Apunba Marup have announced their decision of monitoring the activities of the restaurants in the State.
Announcing this during a press conference convened jointly at the Keishampat Leimajam Leikai office of EPAK Films here today, president of Kangleipak Loinashillon Apunba Marup Takhellambam Sanahongba Mangang and president of Ningol Khongchat Lup, Kangleipak Sagolsem Taruni informed that the two social organisations have taken up the decision of monitoring activities of the restaurants as they have become the breeding ground for immoral activities as well as cause for family crises and crimes in the society.
Outlining some measures that the restaurant owners should adhere to, they pointed out that the restaurant owners should ensure sufficient light and space inside the restaurants and put up pictures related to the art and culture of the State.
Setting February 18 as the deadline for enforcing these measures by the restaurant owners, PRO of Kangleipak Loinashillon Apunba Marup Rakesh Naorem, who was also present during the press conference, informed that a drive would be soon launched with the support of the public and initiate action against those who fail to enforce these measures.
