Even as Chief Minister O Ibobi who was in Delhi for the last few days to consult AICC leaders on expansion of the SPF Council of Ministers arrived at Imphal today, the question of expansion still remains undecided.
Coincidentally RJD State unit president Wahengbam Nipamacha and MLA Hellaludin Khan who were also in Delhi to mount pressure on the RJD high command to ensure a ministerial berth for their party in have also returned to Imphal today.
According to Hellaludin Khan, the RJD leaders and the AICC leaders at the Centre have agreed on giving a Ministerial berth to one RJD MLA in the SPF Government.
Further, Chief Minister O Ibobi has also been asked to implement the agreement between the Central leaders as and when the SPF Ministry is expanded, disclosed Hellaludin.
Concerning the appointment of the Chairman of the Hill Areas Committee which is a Constitutional post, some RJD officials maintained that it would not be proper to treat the election to the post of the Chairman and providing Ministerial berth as equivalent.
The RJD with three MLAs have been insisting on the Ministerial berth.
Pressure has been mounted on Lalu Prasad Yadav in this connection.
