The Joint Forum of BSNL Union of Non-Executive and Executive of the State is set to join their compatriots in the Nation wide cease work strike from tomorrow in pursuit of their demand to upgrade the BSNL service to G-3.About 3,40,000 employees from across the country are set to join the cease work strike from tomorrow.
During the last few months, the employees of BSNL have been demanding the Central Government to upgrade the service provided by BSNL from the G-2 to G-3.BSNL comes under the Union Ministry of Communications.
Speaking to the media, convenor of the State unit of the Executive and non-Executive staff of BSNL, S Kumar said that the decision to launch the Nation wide cease work strike from tomorrow was taken as the Ministry of Communications has not paid any heed to their demand.
Even as the Ministry of Communication has remained indifferent to their demand, a number of private companies are ready to upgrade their mobile service to G-3, informed S Kumar.
To upgrade the service to G-3 will need state of the art technology, said Kumar and added that it will also increase the capacity of the company concerned.
Once the private companies upgrade their service to G-3, then BSNL will surely die a slow death, predicted the convenor.
The G-3 service will enable to mobile users to see each other while they converse as well transmit the aroma of food to each other, Kumar added.
Once the cease work strike starts across the country, the BSNL subscribers in the State may face severe inconveniences.
