Imphal, April 30 2010: The outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) has denied making any plan to issue counter ultimatum to the rebels of Manipur nor to the Manipuris staying in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and UP.

This was announced by Spokesperson of B-J-NCG Special Area Committee, CPI-Maoist, Gopal in a press release mailed today.

It said, Hindustan Times of 21st April and internet edition of E-Pao (22nd April) carried a statement in their name which said that CPI (Maoist) has asked all Manipuris and other North-Eastern nationals to leave the four states of Bihar, UP, W Bengal and Jharkhand by 30th of June.

One Sher Khan of Tirhut sub �zonal committee has been reported to have issued this statement on behalf of the CPI-Maoist.

The party categorically stated that this statement had not been issued by the party and this does not reflect the party's views on this matter at all, the Spokesperson said.

"We seriously suspect that this statement is a handiwork of the intelligence agencies of the Indian government to create confusion and distrust among the people of Manipur as well as India and to slander our image.

We are making our stand clear on this episode which is being capitalized by the Manipuri govt.to fulfill its nefarious design.

We support the movement of the Manipuri people for independence; it is a just movement and the people of Manipur.

are making great sacrifices to achieve it.

We respect it." "We support the movements of various nationalities of India for self-determination/independence.

Many people of India have gone to the north-eastern states of India in search of jobs.

In fact majority of them were brought to Assam and other NE states in the British period itself to work in the tea gardens.

In the post-47 India because of the anti-people policies of the Indian ruling classes' unemployment has reached to an alarming height.

Uneven development is the feature of our country" .

The press release of CPI-Maoist further said, "People are forced to leave their states in search of jobs.

The recent proimperialist policies of globalization, liberalization and privatization, pursued madly by the ruling classes of India, have made the situation worse.

The recent spurt in the migration of the laboring masses owes much to this barbarous policy.

Similarly the subjugation of the NE states by the Indian ruling classes has kept them backward in all aspects of development.

No wonder that there is a dearth of good educational facilities almost everywhere in these states.

As a result many students from Manipur and other NE states come to the states of Bihar, UP, W.Bengal, etc.

for higher studies.

Some of them have come in search of jobs also.

We see nothing wrong in the mobility of the toiling masses in search of jobs, etc.

It is the Indian ruling classes and the anti-people policies of its various govts which are responsible for the pathetic condition of the people of India as well as Manipur.

This situation brings the necessity of the close co-operation of the movements of the people of India and Manipur" .

The Chief Minister of Manipur is quick to capitalize the tense atmosphere created by the press statements of RPF and some Sher khan who claims to be a sub-zonal member of CPI (Maoist), the press release said.

The Chief Minister is a person responsible for the implementation of the policies of the Indian ruling classes in Manipur.

People must be beware of his methods and expose his true character, the Spokesperson, Gopal said.

The party called upon the people of Manipur and India to channelize their wrath against their common enemy-the Indian ruling classes.

People must not be deluded by the 'divide and rule' policy of the ruling classes and must unite against the comprador big bourgeois, landlord classes of this country who are perpetuating this unjust rule under the guidance of imperialism, in particular US imperialism, he said.

"Only a united struggle can solve the problems of India and other various nationalities.

We appeal to the Manipuri people that there is no need to be panicked by this fake statement issued in our name by some Sher Khan and request them that they also should not do anything in reaction," the press release concluded.
