The decision to monitor the development works being taken up by the Government is to esnure equitable distribution of wealth among all the people living in the State, he asserted.
For setting up an egalitarian society, it is essential to facilitate communication with the people living in the far flung areas and understand the problems being faced by them in various areas like health, education, electricity, water supply, road communication, availability of essential communities, he noted.
Hemanta also appealed to all the Government officials, public leaders and students to extend their co-operation to UCM in this regard.
While observing that it would be in interest of the people of Manipur to call off the indefinite economic blockade being imposed by ATSUM on both the National Highways, the UCM secretary general said that by doing so the confidence of the people would be able to win over to the cause that ATSUM has been fighting for.
