Imphal, February 19: Reacting to the statement of the Kuki Liberation Army that her husband Dr Lunkim was summoned to discuss certain matter and not abducted, Mrs C Lunkim in a statement today said that in the previous statement, KLA had said that her husband was summoned to sort out some family matters.

However in the latest statement, KLA had said that Dr Lunkim was summoned in connection with a case relating to the outfit.

The manner in which the KLA has been distorting their own statement is amazing, said the wife and added that her husband has nothing to do with the internal affairs of the KLA.

Mrs Lunkim also appreciated the acknowledgement of the contributions of her husband by the KLA.

Reacting to the allegations that her husband tried to politically assassinate the KLA, Mrs C Lunkim said that there no proof has been given by the outfit during the one month detention of her husband.

Therefore the question of levying a moderate fine on Dr Lunkim does not arise, she added.
