Categorically rejecting charges levelled by parents/guardians of candidates appearing in the ongoing HSLC examination at the Brighter Academy centre (A&B) the centre's officer in charge (OC) clarified that all possible measures were initiated for the students' convenience.
Reacting to allegations of the parents/guardians that prospects of the candidates were compromised due to shortcomings of the exam centre officials, the OC said in view of gap of about five minutes in procuring additional answer sheets extra period of seven minute were provided to the candidates.
Accepting that possibility on shortage of additional answer sheets had not been envisioned prior to commencement of the March 20 paper (mathematics), the OC informed of rushing to the Board of Secondary Education Manipur office to procure the same which was promptly distributed to the candidates.
Maintaining that the authorities of the exam centre were not formally intimated on the matter the OC also pointed to the fact that the parents/guardians expressed desire to meet officials concerned on March 22 when the exam was in full swing.
