Imphal, November 08:
Taking serious note of repeated harassments and detention of Manipuris living in border areas by Myanmarese Authority, ATSUM (All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur) has called for State intervention.
In this regard a memorandum has been submitted to the Chief Minister stating that the allegations levelled by the Myanmarese Army against five detained Indians are baseless and far from truth.
It mentioned that the five detainees have been sentenced to seven years imprisonment at Indiri jail, Molaikhali, Kalemyo, Myanmar.
