The Kuki National Front (KNF) has called a 24 hour Statewide bandh from the midnight of May 17 to midnight of May 18 on the occasion of its 17th Raising Day to be observed on May 18 and urged the public to support the bandh call.
In a statement KNF Asst information secretary Issak Kuki greeted the people on the completion of its 17th years of revolutionary movement and sought more co-operation from the people in the days to come saying that without people�s co-operation there cannot be any headway.
It also extends its greeting to other revolutionary groups in the State and North East on the occasion.
It also paid revolutionary salute to founder of the front (L) Nehlun Kuki saying that the outfit founder cherish dreams must be fulfill by the its present cadres.
Going down into the history of the front, it said that it came into being in 1988 at Molnoi village for creation of Kukiland under the Constitution of India.
The statement called for unity among the Kuki revolutionaries group to achieve the common goal of the revolutionary movement.
