Imphal, October 30: Taking serious note of the failure of the State Level Organising Committee of Kut Festival to heed its suggestions on reforming the current system of celebrating Chavang Kut and make the celebration more meaningful, Kuki Liberation Army (KLA/KLO) said there shall be no more warning in this regard.

In a statement central information and publicity secretary of the outfit Malsawm Kuki clarified that the points laid down by the outfit to reform the current system of celebrating Chavang Kut in an extravagant manner was not just for the sake of saying or to show off its power, but to cleanse the contaminating elements that have crept into the celebration of Chavang Kut meaningfully.

Hence, the earlier appeal should be taken as an order now and any disrespect to the order should not be forgiven at any cost, the statement warned, while asking the general public not to take part in the festival in case the organising committee go ahead with their plan without heeding to the reasonable appeal of the outfit.

The organising committee and not the outfit should also be held responsible for any unwanted happenings, the statement further said.
