Imphal, October 28: The KNO/KNA has clarified that Haokholal Touthang of Khopibung in Saikul sub-division who was killed by armed cadres of KRA was not its member as claim by the latter.

The ridiculously late claim made by KRA that Haokholal was an active cadre of KNA is childish and absolutely baseless, commander of wing no.5 of KNO/KNA, CL Kuki said in a statement, adding that to heap charges on an innocent person after murdering him without any physical or provable evidence is unacceptable.

CL Kuki said KNO/KNA has taken serious note of the ongoing rampage and acts of terror unleashed by KRA on innocent Kuki villagers in Saikul area.

Such unprovoked anti-Kuki activities of witch-hunting by KRA do not befit that of a true revolutionary outfit.

While informing that all the terrified Kuki villagers fled and took shelter at Uyumpok Mamang Leikai, Lamboikhun and Imphal area, CL Kuki said this is most shameful situation.

If KRA continue with its anti-revolutionary activities, KNA shall be forced to deploy its Special Task Force of Wing no.6 to counter it, he said, adding that KNO/KNA would not tolerate any anti-Kuki reactionary movement.

KNO/KNA has also categorically asked KRA to settle the matter of abduction of three PHED officials for ransom as soon as possible to bring about peace and understanding.
