Imphal, September 26 2010: Taking strong exception to the allegations levelled against UCM president Yumnamcha Dilipkumar by KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) that he was scheming to create chaos and confusion in the society, the UCM questioned whether the act of hurling bomb with the intention to eliminate all the family members of Dilipkumar is within the ambit of any party that claim to be conforming to revolutionary ethics.

A press release by UCM IPR secretary Kh Nilamani said that it is the UCM who has been working in touch with the pulse of the mass.

It categorically contended that Dilipkumar had nothing to do with the compliance or non-compliance to the demand for Rs 5 lakhs made by KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) from Bishnupur Higher Secondary School last year.

Dilipkumar was a Lecturer.

He was neither the Principal nor the DDO.

The allegation that Dilipkumar in cahoot with one L Nganbi prevented Bishnupur Hr Sec School from paying the amount demanded by the outfit was false and baseless.

Moreover, Dilipkumar never received any demand letter of Rs 10 lakhs from KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) nor was he intimated by the party to talk about the matter amicably, the UCM asserted.

Starting at AMSU in 1972, Dilipkumar has been working for the people for 38 years in his capacity as secretary general of Poramlen Apunba, founder vice-president of League of the Fourth World People, president of IPSA and currently president of the UCM.

As the bomb failed to go off, Dilipkumar had the opportunity to tell the truth otherwise he might have fallen victim like many other innocent people who were slain and posthumously declared guilty.

The recent attack at Dilipkumar's house in the aftermath of the Mapao Khullen incident for a demand note served to Bishnupur Hr SS almost a year back is no riddle.

After conducting a spot enquiry at Mapao Khullen where KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) assaulted some villagers together with a warning to leave the village, the UCM appealed to the outfit to retract their step of serving quit notice.

The UCM's resolute stance against the Government of India alleged repeated conspiracies to create conflicts among different communities in Manipur might have been taken by some groups as standing against them.

In connection with the threat on Dilipkumar, a joint meeting of the UCM and other civil society organisations was held yesterday where it was resolved to fight together against all those elements challenging the UCM and the mass, it reiterated.
