The result of the HSLC examination is likely to be announced by the end of this month while the preliminary examination to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur to recruit graduate teachers will be held on June 20.Talking to a group of reporters at the BSEM office today, Secretary of the Board, Ph Nandakumar said that unlike previous years when the HSLC result was announced in the first week of June, this year, the result will be announced by the end of this month.
Altogether 24,800 students appeared for the Class X examination this year, said the Secretary and added that the almost everything is finalised for the result to be announced.
No efforts are being spared to ensure that no errors creep in when the result is announced, informed the Secretary.
The pass percentage in the Class X examination has been low in the last couple of years.
Significantly the Central Board of Secondary Education is likely to announce the results of the Class examination in the first week of June.
The preliminary examination to recruit Arts and Science graduate teachers will be held on June 20, said the Secretary and added that earlier the examination was scheduled to be held on June 17.The total number of teachers to be recruited is 1332, he informed.
The preliminary examination will include a paper on General English carrying 50 marks and General Knowledge carrying 50 marks.
A total of 22,000 candidates may appear for the scheduled examination.
The admit card for the preliminary examination will be issued from June 12, informed the Board officer.
The successful candidates in the preliminary examination will then be made to appear for the written test.
The written test will be on the basis of the subjects offered by the candidates.
The Board has also distributed 77 lakh text books to ST, SC and girl students in the hills and valley areas under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme, said the Secretary.
The text books were distributed to 2,04,032 students in the hills and 62,430 students in the valley areas, informed the Secretary further.
