Imphal, April 19: The fifth day of the sit-in-protest being launched under the aegis of All Manipur Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats Joint Action Committee to decry monetary demands of UGs from Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) was staged at Lamlai Bazar today.

The protest demonstration held from 10 am to 4 pm was attended by around 350 participants who expressed unhappiness over the poor response of the UGs to the ongoing protest demonstration.

As a consequent, it has been decided to continue with the sit-in-protest tomorrow at Sekmai Bazar and not to concede to any kind of monetary demands from UGs, according to a statement released by Committee secretary O Bimola Devi.
