Vigilance seeks Speaker's nod

The Vigilance Dept has sought the permission of the Speaker to investigate into the alleged fake appointment cases in the State Legislative Assembly Secretariat even as the investigating agency has detected six more fake appointment cases in the Education Department.
A reliable source disclosed to The Sangai Express that with apprehension rising over fake appointment cases in the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the Vigilance Department has sought the permission of the Speaker to investigate into the matter.
However, the Speaker has not yet given any response to the request of the Vigilance Department.
On the other hand, continuing its investigation into the fake appointment cases in various Government departments and specially in the Education Department, the Vigilance Department has detected six more cases of fake appointments.
The accused fake appointee teachers have been identified as Md Nasir Ali (Changangei High School), Md Abdul Majid (Keibung Junior High School, Thoubal), Md Majibur Rahaman (Khelakhong Khongjil LP Madrassa), Md Basir Ahamad (Uchiwa Junior High School), Md MS Gaffar (Khekman Wangma Taba Junior High School) and Md Azaz Khan (Moijing Junior High School).
With these six new cases, the Vigilance has so far been able to detect 186 fake appointment cases of teachers in the Education Department.
Cases registered against doctors: Along with registering cases against the two Govt doctors namely Dr L Sukumar and Dr H Ranjit who were allegedly responsible for the death of two women during delivery at Leirik Memorial Hospital and Langol View Charitable Clinic and Maternity Home recently, Vigilance has started investigating to find out whether these two doctors have been enjoying the non-practising allowances or not.
