Imphal, November 01:
The non-availability of cash at the State Bank of India at Senapati for more than one month has crippled various important activities in the district.
The people of Senapati are now frustrated over the way the State Bank of India in the district has been functioning without Government cash deposition.
In this regard the Naga Peoples' Organisation (NPO) has blasted the authorities concerned for the SBI situation at Senapati.
NPO president M Dili has said that numerous pleas had already been put forth to the authorities concerned through the Deputy Commissioner of the district and others to look into the matter but the authorities had vaguely answered them by saying that for the security reason the Government money has not been deposited at the SBI, Senapati.
The NPO, however, termed the development as a negligence to the people of the
district.
The NPO further stated that the cold treatment of the Govt in this regard amounts to "harrassing the public of the district." M Dili then narrated that various Government departments have released salaries to their respective employees but due to non-availibility of Government money in the SBI at Senapati, the employees cannot draw their salaries for the last two months.
The Naga Peoples' Organisation urged the Government to address the matter at the earliest time possible or else the suffering of the people of will increase manifold.
