Land acquisition: In connection with acquisition of an additional 25 acres of land for construction of KV-400 power sub-station at Yurembam, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh held a meeting with the landowners at his office chamber today.
However, no agreement could be arrived at.
In the meeting attended by officials of Power Dept, the Govt impressed upon the land owners that construction of the proposed 400 KV power sub-station is essential in view of the power situation in the State.
But the land owners insisted that cultivable land should not be affected.
