Imphal, March 27:
Citing lack of co-operation and hostile attitude of bodies like ANSAM, NWUM, ATSUM and KSO, Threatened Indigenous People's Society (TIPS) has decided not to go any further in its proposal of setting up a Fact Finding Team to investigate the allegations of rape of many Hmar girls by underground activists at Lungthulien, Thanlon and Parbung in Churachandpur district.
In a statement, TIPS general secretary Leitanthem Umakanta Meitei asserted that the hostile attitude shown by these bodies even to the extent of not allowing the team to venture into the area, amount to shying away from knowing the truth.
