Imphal, December 12: A former cadre of a militant outfit was shot dead today at about 12.15 pm at Moirang Laishoi Leikai on the Sendra road, said police sources.

The victim has been identified as Laiphrakpam Dilip (35).Police said that the victim was called out from his house by three unidentified persons and later shot dead at Sendra road.

Moirang police have retrieved the body and it would be sent to RIMS morgue tomorrow for post mortem.

Body found : An unidentified man was found dead yesterday at around 2.30 pm at a galli near Friends Mini under City PS, Imphal.

The deceased who looks to be around 40 years of age is believed to be a deranged person.

The body was retrieved by City police and deposited at RIMS for post morterm.

Meanwhile the woman who succumbed to injuries at JN Hospital on December 10 after falling down from a moving bus at Khoyathong has been identified as Asem (ongbi) Kunjeshwari (27) of Khekman Awang Leikai, Thoubal. The body has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS today.
